Happy New Year all the way from Manila! 2015 was one heck of a roller coaster ride, don’t you think? I’ve gained new friends (and lost some eventually.), tried a career that’s out of my league, broke some rules, partied my heart out, and of course, re-started my blog. Talk about so happenings. Anyway, I’ve already listed down my bucket list for this year as it is MY year (year of the Monkey and I am a Water Monkey, apparently.) I’m still trying to add more to my bucket list then I’ll show it to you. Or not. Just kidding.
I did my little research and apparently, 2016 is the year of the Monkey. According to Rappler: “This is a rare year for the Monkey, as the star of prosperity falls on his chart this 2016. The star “brings you potential wealth and abundance in everything that you do,” said Marites. “Sky is the limit, this only happens once every 12 years, claim it!”. So this is my year! As some of you may know, I was born in the year 1992 and that makes me a part of the Water Monkeys.
Monkeys are lively, talkative and witty. Hmmm. I don’t know about being witty but talkative, I would agree. teehee Anyway, all these can add up but I still believe that it won’t be a great year if we won’t be determined and motivated to achieve our goals.
As usual, my family and I celebrated New Year’s Eve with so much food and style. Well, mostly food actually. Check out our mini buffet. Main courses courtesy of the parentals while the desserts were from me.
My mom’s into Feng Shui and all those things (but with hard work and determination, of course!) so our table’s really filled with food and round things.
New Year’s Eve celebration won’t be complete without a photo op. Happy New Year from my family to yours! Happiness at its finest, I must say. Can’t ask for a more supportive and loving family.
Me and my stylish people are all wearing red because they said it is one of the lucky colors (though I did my research and found out that the lucky colors are as follows: White, Gold, and Blue).
And of course, my motn. I just had to greet 2016 with class.
Fashion feats: Off-shoulders top and printed floral skirt from Fashion Market in Market! Market!, Sandals from H&M, Accessories: Ribbon earrings from H&M, Customized necklace from MiaCasa, Vintage Guess watch from mom.
Makeup feats: Maybelline baby skin pore eraser for my primer, Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in #200 warm beige, Nearly Naked pressed powder in #40 medium/ deep, City Color contour and highlight stick in deep, HBC concealer in Olive, Maybelline blush studio, cheeky glow in wooden rose, Nichido minerals precise eye pencil in tiger eye, E.L.F. eyebrow lifter in Ivory/ medium, BYS trio brow palette, Maybelline hyper curl waterproof mascara, Nichido 24-hour tattoo effect eyeliner, and NYX soft matte lip cream in Monte Carlo.
With so many challenges I’ve faced in 2015, I am so ready for 2016. Starting off with this post #1 for my Page 1 of 366 (Yes! It’s Leap Year! Happy Birthday to all those born on the 29th of Feb.)
Thank you, loves for one whimsical adventure. I ended my 2015 with so much happiness and with you being a part of it. It’s time to make my castle made from the bricks of the previous years stronger with the bricks that will be thrown this year.
❤
